Chris Hogan's Message: NFL Players Are More Than Just Athletes

Chris Hogan highlights the importance of recognizing the multifaceted identities of NFL players, stressing the need to acknowledge their lives beyond the football field

Boston reporter Christopher Price asked former wideout Chris Hogan about what the media often ignores or does not report on enough regarding NFL players on their show The Patriot Report.

"What sometimes gets lost in translation is these guys as people," said Hogan. "What they are doing outside of football. Sure, that is talked about, but really, there is just a specific number of guys that are highlighted, but all of these guys do so much in the community."

The two-time Super Bowl champion also talked about how much football players go through on a week-to-week basis to put a great product on the field every Sunday.

"It is like being in a car accident on Monday," said Hogan. "It is not talked about how many hours these guys are putting in not on camera. In the training room, in treatment, taking medicine that might not be good long term."

The Patriots are 12-point underdogs to the Bills this weekend, according to BetOnline.
