Patrick Mahomes Has Chiefs Offense Rolling
The Chiefs used their rushing attack to defeat the Bills 27-24 on Sunday and move on to the AFC Championship game for a sixth consecutive season. Isiah Pacheco ran the ball 15 times for 97 yards and a touchdown, while Clyde Edwards-Helaire added 31 yards of his own on two carries. Former tight end Jason Dunn expressed his admiration for Kansas City’s ground game on this week’s episode of Chief Concerns.
“Pacheco was just outstanding. He has great vision; he has got a lot of patients now. He is running harder, but I think he is starting to figure it out; things are starting to slow down for him,” said Dunn. “Now he is starting to see it, and he is just eating. He was phenomenal. CEH coming in was phenomenal too, so I love our running back room.”
When a team has a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes it is hard not to rely on his arm. Mahomes is one of the greatest players of all time, but they do not possess the same level of talent in the receiving game as they once did. This has forced Andy Reid to focus more on winning on the ground.
