Ike Taylor's Message to George Pickens: 'Start Acting Like a Leader'
Two-time Super Bowl champion Ike Taylor wants George Pickens to start becoming a leader for the Pittsburgh Steelers. On a recent episode of his show, Bleav in Steelers, the former defensive back talked about how Pickens might not want to take on a vocal leadership role, but based on talent, the young wide receiver must be a leader on the field.
“The effort part, don’t let that leak into your game. I don’t think you understand how many people look up to you, and I don’t think you understand how important you are to the organization,” said Taylor. “Nobody is asking you to be vocal when it comes down to leadership, but I am telling you this off of what I see GP. You are a leader, so let’s start acting like a leader.”
The Steelers have lost three games in a row but still have time to turn their season around and make the playoffs. They are three-point underdogs to the Bengals this weekend, according to BetOnline.
