Roquan Smith seeks mentorship with HOF Ray Lewis

Roquan Smith and the Ravens' defense is one win away from the Super Bowl, but they are tasked with slowing down the reigning champion Chiefs' offense.

Daniel Wilcox praised Roquan Smith prior to the First-team All-Pro's AFC Championship matchup with the Chiefs on this week's episode of the Bleav in Ravens podcast. Baltimore legend Ray Lewis has taken Smith under his wing and has been watching film with his former team's current linebacker.

"It is easy to have an ignorant mindset. You have to be humble to sit down with another man; I don't care how great he is, to learn from him, to take the knowledge and tools from him, and be willing to implement that into your game. I love to see his growth, and I love the fact that Ray is mentoring him," said Wilcox.

Roquan Smith was sixth in the NFL with 158 tackles this season. Baltimore had one of the top-ranked defenses in the league this year, and they will need the unit to step up this Sunday against Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City. The Chiefs are four-point underdogs to the Ravens this weekend, according to BetOnline.
