Patrick Beverley, fresh off a $25,000 fine for his actions in the Timberwolves' regular season finale against the Bulls, has been fined $30,000 by the NBA for what the league describes as "inappropriate statements" and the "egregious use of profanity" after Minnesota's play-in tournament victory over the Clippers Tuesday night.

The league said Beverley's comments were made during a postgame interview and on social media, which is believed to be the Instagram video that shows Beverley celebrating in the locker room and saying

"I told you we going to the playoffs, but nobody believed me. Weak a** Clippers, beat they mother******* a**. Get the f*** out of here."

In his postgame press conference, Beverley said "I f****** told y'all" the Timberwolves would make the playoffs. Later in the press conference, he was asked what he said to his former Clippers teammates after the game.

"Take their ass home. Long flight to L.A., take y'all ass home," he said. "Blood, sweat and tears to just be written off like that. You know, 'he's injury prone, he's old, this-this-that-that.' To be able to come here, play them in the play-in, beat their a**, no other feeling, man. No other feeling."

Beverley and the Timberwolves are the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference playoffs and they play the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of a best-of-seven series at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
