Did Kirk Cousins hint at a Dalvin Cook return?

Did he hint that there's a chance of a reunion happening? It kind of sounded like it.

Kirk Cousins, talking about Dalvin Cook's release from the Vikings last week, said Wednesday that he hopes Cook's road this summer ultimately brings him back to Minnesota.

Did he hint that there's a chance of a reunion happening? It kind of sounded like it.

"Wanted to take the time to acknowledge the respect I have for him as a player and a person. The difference he's made for our team. His toughness. His consistency, I think he's been to four straight Pro Bowls, that says it all right there," said Cousins.

"I'm excited to see where he goes, I'll always be pulling for him and I'm kind of optimistically hoping maybe we get him back. Who knows. Maybe there is an outside chance. We'll see."

On The Rich Eisen Show Tuesday, Cook said: "I want the value. I want somebody who values Dalvin Cook. I want somebody that wants me to be there and give me the ball. I just want to go into the right situation so I can go help somebody win."

The 27-year-old running back said he's "not in a rush to go sign with nobody. I'm trying to find the right fit for me and my family."

If Cook can't find a team willing to pay him the $10 million he's reportedly seeking, what better place to go as a free agent than Minnesota? He knows the offense and he'd immediately slot in as the No. 1 running back ahead of Alexander Mattison.
