LSU is ready to reveal some amazing new football helmet technology for the 2023 season.

In a move to fight against the heat and humidity in Louisiana, the Tigers program is equipping its players with air-conditioned football helmets, with the cooling technology provided by the local company, TigerAire.

The company posted a video to TikTok of some LSU football players trying out the new helmets and reacting this week.

A few years ago, the Office of Innovation and Technology Commercialization at LSU filed a patent for cooling and circulation technology, eventually licensing the tech to TigerAire.

The design went through several changes over the last three years before its debut for the 2023 college football season.

The cooling system is installed directly into the helmets, holding a charge for five hours and the device itself can last for up to four years.

"That feels good, bro!" LSU tight end Mac Markway said after trying on the helmet. "If I'm running in this, I ain't sweating, at all. It's, like, cold."
