The newest edition of the college football game series is set to release sooner rather than later, and a cover athlete can be expected soon. While there are many names that seem to make sense, these five players are who I believe should be on the cover.

5. Jayden Maiava (USC Trojans)

The USC Trojans have been prestigious for quite some time, and you have to imagine that this would be something that catches the attention of the video game developers. Jayden Maiava is fresh off a 3,000 + season and is one of the better returning quarterbacks in the country. He would be a great fit for the cover and would represent growth through and through, as he will be one of the Heisman contenders this season if he can control his turnovers.

4. Nate Frazier (Georgia Bulldogs)

Nate Frazier is one of the more gifted players in the nation and is playing for a very talented Georgia Bulldogs team. Having him on the cover represents the dominance he has had at the running back position, as he hasn't even seen his best year yet. This seems to be his best year incoming, as he is set to help the Bulldogs push for a national championship. His best is yet to come, and because of that, I believe he is perfect for this list.

3. Colin Simmons (Texas Longhorns)

While many would say that the obvious choice from the Longhorns would be Arch Manning, what if it were Simmons? Simmons is one of the better players on the defensive side of the ball and is one of the better EDGE rushers in recent memory, as he has been dominant since arriving at college.

He is set for a major 2026, and this would be a good way for EA Sports to recognize that it's not all about offense. Simmons is freshly off a season where he had 12 sacks. He is a slam-dunk first-rounder, and this would be an electric selection.

2. Dante Moore (Oregon Ducks)

Dante Moore is one of the better players on this list and is a unique name worth mentioning. The Ducks have a ton of talent, but the star of their team last season was Moore, who opted to return to college after being a top-five projected draft pick.

He believes the job is unfinished after being defeated in the semi-finals, and he gives the Ducks a fighting chance in 2026. Moore will likely find himself back in the top five this next season, which is even more of a reason to consider him as a potential option.

1. Malachi Toney (Miami Hurricanes)

The Miami Hurricanes are fresh off an appearance in the national championship, and their star of the season was by far one of the better wide receivers in the country. That player is Malachi Toney, who is one of the younger stars in college football, as he should just now be entering college, but opted to enter college as a younger star.

This was similar to what Ryan Coleman-Williams did, and it paid off for both players. Toney deserves to be at the top of the list, and he is the likely player to find himself on the list, in my opinion.
