Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo Betting Odds, PPV Price, & Prediction

We've got you covered with betting odds and a prediction for Canelo vs. Charlo.

Boxing mega star Canelo Alvarez is looking for another successful unified super middleweight title defense when he meets Jermell Charlo.

Charlo himself is an undisputed champion in the junior middleweight division. Only Canelo's hardware will be at stake when the two clash this Saturday night (September 30). They will collide inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Canelo was initially expected to meet Jermell's brother, Jermall. Due to personal reasons, Jermall couldn't accept the fight, and the opportunity has been given to Jermell. Some argue that this is an even more compelling fight. It's certainly a rare matchup between two undisputed champions.

Canelo vs. Charlo Prediction

There are a few questions going into the Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo fight. One of them is, will Canelo return to form after a somewhat lackluster showing by his standards against John Ryder back in May? Another question is, can Charlo's punching power carry over to the super middleweight division?

I do believe Charlo's punching power will remain a threat at 168 pounds. That coupled with his speed advantage over most super middleweights should make for an interesting test for Canelo. Let's not forget that Charlo's fighting IQ is also top notch.

With that said, I do believe Canelo's size advantage will play a key role in this fight. I can see Charlo giving Canelo problems early on with his movement and craftiness, but the Mexican superstar will download his opponent and make him feel the difference fighting two weight classes above the norm. Look for Canelo to score a TKO victory as the fight gets deeper, potentially in the eighth or ninth round.

Final Prediction: Canelo Alvarez via TKO
