Bellator 299 Results & Highlights: Eblen Remains Unbeaten

A huge slate of fights was scheduled for Bellator's first event in more than a month.

Bellator returned to Ireland for a card at Dublin's 3Arena that was loaded with 21 fights and headlined by a middleweight title bout.

Johnny Eblen Fabian Edwards Bellator 299

The main event featured Johnny Eblen attempting to extend his unbeaten record and defend his middleweight belt for a second time when he took on Fabian Edwards. “The Assassin” is the younger brother of UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards, and although he did open up a nasty cut on the champion Eblen stopped the challenger early in the third round.

The card’s co-main event was a matchup between Aaron Pico and featherweight veteran Pedro Carvalho. Pico’s shoulder injury against UFC veteran Jeremy Kennedy halted a lengthy winning streak, but he now has back-to-back wins after he stopped Carvalho with strikes just over three minutes into their fight.
