Michael Chandler believes he will knock Conor McGregor unconscious in the 2nd round of their rumored 2023 affair.

Chandler predicted his method of victory during an interview with ESPN MMA on May 3, saying that he will "pick [McGregor] apart," and "have my way with him."

The two UFC stars are coaching against each other on 'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF) Season 31, a reality TV program centered around combat sports. It is widely anticipated that they will fight each other at the conclusion of the season, although the event has not been officially confirmed yet.

'His Head Bounces off the Canvas': Michael Chandler Issues Ice Cold Prediction for McGregor Fight

Chandler spoke with Brett Okamoto from ESPN MMA and discussed humanizing McGregor by spending so much time around him on the set of TUF.

"Spending that much time around Conor, seeing Conor --- it humanized him as an opponent. Because, to me, he was always put on a pedestal because that's what we see [in the media], and then you get to spend time around [McGregor] and you're like, 'Okay. I'm definitely going to smash this dude.'"

Chandler continued to give his prediction on the fight.

"[I'm going to] bludgeon him with these two hands. Vintage; Foot on the gas; Never take a backwards step; In your face; Break your spirit; Break your will to live Michael Chandler performance.

I don't see this fight lasting more than two rounds. My 'Mystic Mike' prediction is that I finish him in the second round by KO --- clean KO ---  and his head bounces off the canvas.

I'm going to go out there, pick him apart; Pick him up, put him down. And [I'm] honestly going to have my way with him and it's going to be awesome."

Chael Sonnen Casts Doubt on Legitimacy of Chandler vs. McGregor

Former UFC middleweight turned outspoken MMA personality Chael Sonnen labeled the Chandler vs. McGregor matchup "weird" in his March 30 appearance on the 'True Geordie' podcast.

"Something here isn't passing the smell test. All of a sudden Conor's back and he's going to take on Chandler. Great... Why? Why are these two fighting? Moreover, when are they fighting? Where are they fighting? What weight class?

"We're told these two 155-pounders are going to fight at 170 [Lbs]. That was weird because now it's not for contendership. We know it's not for championship but now it's not even for rankings. So why are we doing this? Just as a pure cash grab?

"So they come out and correct the statement. They said no, 155 pounds is where the weight class is. Chandler says 155 and Conor says 'No, it's 170.' We don't even have a weight class agreed upon. I think that's weird."
