Sean O'Malley was in attendance for UFC 290 and he found himself having to walk past Marlon "Chito" Vera.

O'Malley and his coach, Tim Welch, were inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 8. The UFC invited a slew of its talent to the UFC 290 card to celebrate International Fight Week.

During episode 243 of the "TimboSugarShow," Welch discussed thinking that "Chito" was sizing him up backstage at UFC 290.

"We had to awkwardly walk by Chito," Welch said. "I was like, 'What the f*ck? If he punches me, he's sitting down. That's not a good spot to be in. Did you see his face? Did you look at his face?"

O'Malley suffered a first-round TKO loss to Vera back in 2020, but the "Sugar" show insists he was the true winner of that fight.

"The thing is, it's awkward when you beat somebody so he probably felt insecure," O'Malley said. "I already f*cking beat him once."

O'Malley said he didn't find walking past Vera to be awkward. With that said, he did feel coach Jason Parillo was looking at him funny before the two started chatting.

"The first time it was like, 'He's mean mugging me,' but then after we were walking by and he was talking. It was really nice."

Meanwhile, Welch thought he was going to have to defend himself against "Chito," but ultimately nothing bad happened.

"He walked past me, and I'm standing up and we're literally like this face-to-face," Welch said. "I'm looking at him, he's looking at me, and then he put his hand [out to] shake my hand."
