UFC 298 Results: Ilia Topuria Sleeps Alexander Volkanovski In Anaheim (VIDEO)

The UFC 298 main event title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria is in the books.
Volkanovksi put the UFC Featherweight Championship at stake against "El Matador." Fans had been wondering how "The Great" would perform following a brutal first-round head kick loss to UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev back in October 2023.
Topuria was on the rise going into his first UFC title opportunity. He entered the fight with a perfect pro MMA record of 14-0, with 12 finishes on his resume.
Ultimately, it was Ilia Topuria would live up to his word, knocking Alexander Volkanovski out cold.

Volkanovski went high with a kick early in round one. Topuria ate a kick to the body Volkanovski was off balance from a leg kick by Topuria. Calf kicks from "El Matador" were paying dividends early. A right hand connected for Ilia. "The Great" eventually got into a groove with leg kicks of his own.
In the second round, Topuria landed a right hook that put Volkanovski to sleep.
