UFC 299 Results: Sean O'Malley vs. Chito Vera Ends in One-Sided Masterclass

The UFC 299 main event title fight between Sean O'Malley and Chito Vera is over.

The UFC 299 headlining championship clash between Sean O'Malley and Marlon "Chito" Vera is history.

O'Malley vs. "Chito" closed out a stacked UFC 299 card in Miami, Florida. This was a rematch, and O'Malley was in search of revenge. He suffered a TKO loss to Vera back in 2020.

This was a masterful performance from O'Malley.

A spinning back kick to the body connected for O'Malley early in the opening frame. O'Malley got in a leg kick, but Vera responded by throwing a kick to the body. A straight left hand landed for O'Malley. A kick to the body and a left hand scored for "Chito." O'Malley had the edge early.

O'Malley blocked a high kick in round two and went for a head kick himself. Vera was struggling dealing with O'Malley's strikes from the outside. O'Malley connected with a big knee on the chin of Vera, but "Chito" stayed up.

A welt formed under the right eye of Vera. A right hand from the champion sent Vera to one knee briefly.

Vera started moving forward at the end of round three. He even got in some clean punches. "Chito" bull rushed the champion in round four, but couldn't land the knee to the body. The nose of O'Malley was leaking.

O'Malley sensed he had "Chito" hurt in the final round after a hard right hand. "Sugar" went for another knee. Vera hung in tough, but the unanimous decision went to Sean O'Malley.
