UFC 299 News: Newest UFC Hall of Fame 2024 Inductee Announced For International Fight Week

A new UFC Hall of Fame inductee.

The latest member of the UFC Hall of Fame class of 2024 has been revealed.

UFC 299 is ongoing inside the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The headliner will feature a UFC Bantamweight Championship fight between titleholder Sean O'Malley and Marlon "Chito" Vera.

Before the co-main event between Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint-Denis started, the UFC announced its latest addition to the Hall of Fame.

During the UFC 299 broadcast, play-by-play ace Jon Anik announced that former UFC Women's Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame during International Fight Week.

Jedrzejczyk had five successful title defenses as the UFC's 115-pound queen. She has beaten the likes of Jessica Andrade, Claudia Gadelha, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, and Michelle Waterson. She's gone toe-to-toe with big names such as Valentina Shevchenko and Rose Namajunas.

Jedrzejczyk's last pro MMA fight took place back in June 2022. She suffered a second-round knockout loss to current strawweight champion Zhang Weili.

While Joanna wasn't able to beat Weili in either of their fights, the first encounter between the two is regarded as one of the best fights in MMA history on a grand scale.

Joanna was inside the building for the big Hall of Fame reveal. She was shown on camera and was quite emotional following the video package that played.
