VIDEO: Conor McGregor Sends Miami Heat Mascot to Hospital in Skit Gone Wrong

Ironically, Conor McGregor was promoting his own-brand pain relief spray.

Mascots and fighters just don't get along. First, Deontay Wilder breaks the jaw of the ESPN Nacion mascot, now Conor McGregor sends Burnie --- the Miami Heat's mascot --- to the ER with some brutal ground and pound.

"The Notorious" appeared at Game 4 of Heat-Nuggets on June 10, taking part in a skit to promote his pain relief spray 'TIDL Sport'. McGregor guided the mascot to his predetermined spot, before hitting it with his patented left cross which floored the mascot and knocked off it's hair.

The first hit seemed harmless, but what came next was excessive. McGregor circled Burnie and clobbered him square in the face with a brutal punch on the floor.

Scripted or not, the hit was much lower than the first and Burnie writhed on the floor before being dragged off by staff. McGregor sprayed his victim with his pain relief product all the while.

According to Senior NBA Writer Sam Amick, the man inside the Burnie costume had to be taken to the ER as a result of the bit. He has since been released.
