VIDEO: MMA Fighter Wrestles 10-Foot Alligator Outside Elementary School

Mike Dragich takes "Florida Man" to a whole new level.

Mike Dragich, an MMA fighter, former marine, and licensed alligator wrangler, was captured on video wrangling a 10-foot alligator which stubbornly made its home in an elementary school carpark in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dragich, who was called to the scene on May 22, pulled the 10-foot monster by the tail, and wrestled the beast with his animal control pole, all to the tune of over 200 spectators.

Eventually the alligator was subdued and Dragich assumed back control. It isn't confirmed what happened to the alligator after it was caught, but the best practice is typically relocation.

In an interview with "News4Jax", Dragich told reporters that he "felt like Batman":

"I felt like Batman. These people were scared to death of this alligator .... I love doing it man [alligator wrangling], there's nothing that gets the juices flowing and the adrenaline pumping quite like messing with a big alligator."

Which would explain why Dragich is a former marine and a cage fighter.

"What I was doing was getting [the alligator] tired. You've got to get these animals tired or they can really hurt you."

Dragic appeared on "Fox News" where he playfully rebuked comments about him being "crazy":

"I am 'Florida Man!' That's what I have to say to that."

He also used the opportunity to promote his charity "Project Savior Outdoors", aimed at supporting veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by connecting them with nature.
