WWE Raw Results: Sami Zayn Is Going To WrestleMania To Challenge GUNTHER

Settle in for another episode of WWE Raw.

Tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw will feature a major match that might just go near a full hour. A gauntlet match featuring six worthy WWE superstars will be taking place for a shot at GUNTHER's Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40. Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Bronson Reed and JD McDonagh will be fighting for the title match at "The Granddaddy of Them All."

That's not all scheduled for fans inside the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, and those watching at home.

Some beef has been brewing between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan, and the two are hoping to settle things when they go toe-to-toe tonight. Becky is set to challenge Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship at WrestleMania, but she has been distracted as of late by Nia Jax and now Liv. Ripley has dealt with some distractions of her own with The Judgment Day.

There will also be championship gold at stake this evening. Shayna Baszler teams with Zoey Stark to challenge The Kabuki Warriors of Damage CTRL for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

This will be the first live WWE TV show since Cody Rhodes slapped The Rock after accepting the WrestleMania 40 Saturday tag team match. Cody tags with Seth Rollins to collide with The Rock and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on April 6. WWE Raw will be airing a recap of the closing segment of this past Friday's episode of SmackDown.

WWE Raw Results (March 11, 2024)

Raw opened up with a look at music star Travis Scott arriving outside of the building and being greeted by Jey Uso. The camera then cut to the arrival of Intercontinental champion GUNTHER.

Drew McIntyre has made his way to the ring. 

He called Seth Rollins a hypocritical junkie. He said Seth had to get his "fix" by being in two marquee WrestleMania matches. He said he'd be a World Heavyweight Champion fans can be proud of before Rollins interrupted and told him to shut his mouth.

Rollins dared Drew to Claymore him again. He said he forgot Drew is a coward and turned his back to him. Seth said Drew might as well be an honorary member of The Bloodline. Seth said he hasn't paid attention to Drew because he's the least of his worries going into WrestleMania 40.

The Kabuki Warriors were shown entering the building.

Back from the break, a video package aired showcasing Chad Gable ahead of tonight's gauntlet.

Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan

Becky went for a baseball slide, but Liv ducked, went back in the ring and hit a suicide dive going into the break. Lynch hit the baseball slide this time and took out Liv with a dive off the apron.

Becky went up the top turnbuckle, but crashed down right into a Codebreaker. Becky went to hit a German suplex on Liv off the apron. Instead, Morgan hit her sunset flip powerbomb to the outside.

Becky hit the Manhandle Slam, but Liv rolled out of the ring going into another commercial break.

Liv hit Oblivion, but this time "The Man" was the one who made her way out of the ring. Liv was caught in the Manhandle Slam attempting a top rope move. "The Man" scored the three.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Rhea Ripley made her way out after the match with Liv on the outside, and Becky inside the ring. Liv warned Rhea that she will take everything from her one day before walking to the back.

Rhea questioned why Becky keeps spending her energy on the likes of Nia Jax and Liv Morgan before their WrestleMania title match. Rhea claimed Becky knows deep down she's better than her

Becky said when people doubt her she's great. She said if it's her against the world, then the world doesn't stand a chance. 

Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis announced a 6-pack ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles with the five other teams to be revealed through a series of matches.

Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell vs. Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri 

Hartwell pinned Dupri after LeRae berated Maxxine's wrestling skills, causing her to have a nervous breakdown.

Winners: Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell 

Damian Priest and Finn Balor weren't happy with Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis backstage. Priest demanded a match against R-Truth.

Cody Rhodes was interviewed by Michael Cole in the ring.

Cole asked Cody why he slapped The Rock, and Rhodes said it was a receipt. Cole then asked why Cody agreed to the WrestleMania Saturday tag team match.

Cole even planted the seeds that Seth Rollins may not be one who can be trusted. Rhodes said Seth has always had his respect. Cody vowed that by the end of WrestleMania 40, Michael Cole will say Rhodes finished the story.

Another gauntlet match hype video played, and this time the spotlight was on Ricochet.and JD McDonagh.

Backstage Becky and Liv shook hands. Nia Jax ended up attacking both of them.

The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark - for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship

Stark hit a springboard dive on Asuka and Kairi Sane going into the break. Zoey went for a superplex, but Kairi fought her off, got her opponent in a tree of woe and hit the double stomp for a two-count.

Kairi and Asuka hit a double team Codebreaker into Blockbuster combination on Shayna. Dakota Kai grabbed Shayna's leg with the referee distracted. Kairi hit the Insane Elbow for the win.

Winners and STILL the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions: The Kabuki Warriors

Andrade spoke to The Judgment Day. Rhea asked if Andrade was willing to talk business. Andrade obliged once Dominik Mysterio is back on TV. Finn Balor said he thinks he agrees with Dom on bringing in Andrade to their faction.

Another video package for tonight's gauntlet match featured Shinsuke Nakamura and Bronson Reed.

Damian Priest vs. R-Truth

Priest got in a cheap shot before the match started. DIY made their way out to encourage Truth. Priest went to hit Razor's Edge on Truth, but was countered and sent to the ring post. Truth leaped off the apron and landed on Priest before the ad break.

Truth hit the Attitude Adjustment, but Priest kicked out. Damian was then caught in an STF, but Finn Balor and JD McDonagh attacked DIY. R-Truth dove on everyone on the outside. Back in the ring, Priest ended up hitting a clothesline followed by South of Heaven for the win.

Winner: Damian Priest

After the match, Priest hit South of Heaven on Ciampa on the apron. Balor nailed Gargano with Coup de grâce.

WWE promoted a major announcement from United States Champion Logan Paul on tomorrow's edition of his Impaulsive podcast.

Jey Uso made his way out. Jey addressed Jimmy Uso and challenged him for a match at WrestleMania 40. He said promised to knock the "Yeet" out of his twin brother.

A vignette aired showcasing the historic Intercontinental Championship reign of GUNTHER. Jackie Redmond then interviewed GUNTHER, who said he elevated the IC title to heights never seen before.

Gauntlet Match - Winner Faces GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40

Ricochet and JD McDonagh will get us started. Ricochet went for a springboard crossbody, but McDonagh hit a Codebreaker Ricochet's body. Ricochet hit a springboard elbow. Ricochet went crashing into McDonagh's knees again, and his sternum was hurting. JD hit a Spanish Fly on Ricochet before the break.

Ricochet hit a Death Valley Driver on McDonagh right on the ring apron. Eventually, Ricochet eliminated McDonagh with a Shooting Star Press.

JD McDonagh eliminated.

Here comes Bronson Reed. Ricochet hit a suicide dive on Bronson. Reed caught Ricochet for a powerslam. Reed slammed Ricochet to the mat and set a senton. He then landed the Tsunami to eliminate Ricochet.

Ricochet eliminated.

Sami Zayn is the next participant.

Reed had Zayn on his shoulders on the top rope. Zayn countered with a sunset flip for the pinfall.

Bronson Reed eliminated.

Before Shinsuke Nakamura could enter the ring, Reed ambushed Sami and hit the Tsunami.

Nakamura went for Kinshasa, but missed, and Sami rolled him up for just a two-count. Sami later hit Blue Thunder Bomb for a two. 

Nakamura went for his top rope knee strike, but Sami eliminated him with the Helluva Kick.

Shinsuke Nakamura eliminated.

The final two are Sami Zayn and Chad Gable. Chad told Sami to get up, and he didn't want to take advantage of Zayn in a vulnerable state.

Gable hit a German suplex and locked in the Ankle Lock, but Sami reached the rope. Gable then got in the Ankle Lock outside, but Zayn shoved him off, and Gable went into the ring steps prior to a commercial break.

Gable hit an exploder suplex off the top rope, but only got a two. Gable went for a moonsault, but Sami got his knees up and almost pinned his final opponent of the night. Sami and Gable traded strikes to the delight of fans inside the Toyota Center.

Sami once again found himself in an Ankle Lock, but he again reached the bottom rope. Zayn hit an Exploder suplex on Gable into the corner, but he couldn't run on his injured ankle. Gable sunk in another Ankle Lock.

Gable hit a German suplex as Sami was standing up. He missed a moonsault and Sami hit the Helluva Kick, but he was slow making the cover. Gable reversed with a cradle and nearly got the three.

Sami eventually rolled Gable up to win the match. He is going to WrestleMania.

Winner: Sami Zayn

After the match, GUNTHER made his way out and stopped at the entrance ramp to stare down his next challenger.
