UPDATE: Anthony Davis' Current Injury Status For Timberwolves-Lakers Game

Anthony Davis is on the injury report for Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves in California.  

For the game, the Lakers could be without one of their best players, as All-Star forward Anthony Davis is on the injury report.

Davis is in the middle of another extremely productive season with averages of 24.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.4 blocks per contest while shooting 55.5% from the field and 25.7% from the three-point range in 61 games. 

The Lakers enter the evening as the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 35-30 record in 65 games.  

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 123-122. 

Davis had 22 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and three blocks while shooting 10/21 from the field and 0/1 from the three-point range in 41 minutes of playing time. 

Following their showdown with the Timberwolves, the Lakers will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit De'Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings. 

As for the Timberwolves, they have had an excellent season and are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 44-20 record in 64 games. 

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games but most recently lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers (in overtime) by a score of 113-104. 

Following the Lakers, the Timberwolves will remain in Los Angeles to face off against the Clippers on Tuesday evening.
