BREAKING: Anthony Edwards' Injury Status In Trail Blazers-Timberwolves Game

Anthony Edwards went to the locker room during Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are playing the Portland Trail Blazers at the Target Center.    

During the second half, All-Star guard Anthony Edwards went to the locker room with an injury.   

Edwards has four points, three rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 1/3 from the field and 0/1 from the three-point range in 23 minutes of playing time. 

There has been no word from the team on his status for the remainder of the game. 

Via Charlie Walton of Canis Hoopus: "Anthony Edwards heads back to Minnesota’s locker room immediately after being subbed out, looked like he was grabbing at his elbow."

Edwards came into the matchup with averages of 26.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field and 37.9% from the three-point range in 58 games. 

The Timberwolves are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 42-19 record in 61 games.  

They are 7-3 over their last ten games but are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

Following the Trail Blazers, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Thursday evening when they visit Pascal Siakam and the Indiana Pacers. 

As for the Trail Blazers, they are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 17-42 record in 59 games. 

Following the Timberwolves, they will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they return home to host the Oklahoma City Thunder in Oregon.
