Chris Paul's Injury Status For Clippers-Warriors Game

Chris Paul has been ruled out for Thursday's game.

UPDATE: The Warriors have announced an injury update on Chris Paul. 

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors will host the Los Angeles Clippers at the Chase Center.

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as Chris Paul has been ruled out.  

Via ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday: "Golden State’s Chris Paul (lower leg nerve contusion) is expected to be day-to-day in his return to play, sources tell ESPN. The Warriors are listing him out vs. the Clippers on Thursday."

Paul has played in 18 games so far this season and is averaging 8.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 39.9% from the field and 32.8% from the three-point range. 

The Warriors are 8-10 in their first 18 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.

They are 2-8 over their previous ten games and most recently lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 124-123 (on Tuesday in Sacramento).

During the game, Paul got injured, and he did not return. 

Paul is in his first 19th season in the NBA (his first with Golden State) and still remains among the best point guards in the league. 

The Clippers and Warriors will face off (again) on Saturday in Los Angeles. 

As for the Clippers, they are 8-9 in their first 17 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the west. 

They are 5-5 over their previous ten games and most recently defeated the Sacramento Kings by a score of 131-117 (in Sacramento) on Wednesday evening.
