Cleveland Cavaliers Player Reportedly Leaves Arena On Crutches Following Celtics Game

According to Hayden Grove of Cleveland.com, Evan Mobley left the arena on crutches.

On Tuesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers hosted Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics in Ohio. 

The game was extremely close, but the Cavs were able to come away with a 105-104 victory. 

Dean Wade led the team (off the bench) with 23 points, eight rebounds, one assist and two steals while shooting 8/11 from the field and 6/9 from the three-point range in only 21 minutes of playing time. 

However, starting forward Evan Mobley got injured during the game, and he did not return for the remainder of the evening.   

The former USC star finished with four points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals while shooting 2/8 from the field and 0/1 from the three-point range in 23 minutes of playing time. 

After the game, Hayden Grove of Cleveland.com reported that Mobley left the arena on crutches. 

Via Grove: "Evan Mobley left the locker room on crutches. 

Left ankle looks like a golf ball."

Mobley is one of the team's best players and had come into the matchup with averages of 15.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 blocks per contest while shooting 58.5% from the field and 32.4% from the three-point range in 37 games. 

As for the Cavs, they are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-21 record in 61 games. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and 21-11 in the 32 games they have played at home. 

Following the Celtics, the Cavs will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday evening at State Farm Arena in Georgia.
