UPDATE: Jalen Brunson's Current Injury Status For Mavs-Knicks Game

Jalen Brunson is on the injury report for Thursday's game.

UPDATE: Jalen Brunson has been ruled out (h/t ESPN's Tim Bontemps).    

On Thursday evening, the New York Knicks will host the Dallas Mavericks at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan. 

For the game, the Knicks could be without one of their best players, as All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson is on the injury report.  

Via ESPN's Tim MacMahon on Wednesday: "Knicks PG Jalen Brunson is questionable with a sprained ankle. New York will be without at least three starters: Mitchell Robinson (ankle), OG Anunoby (elbow) and Julius Randle (shoulder)."

Brunson has played in 49 games and is averaging 27.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per contest while shooting 48.2% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point range. 

The Knicks are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-18 record in 51 games.  

They are 9-1 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 123-113. 

Before exiting with an injury, Brunson had 27 points, three rebounds, eight assists and three steals while shooting 11/21 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range in 31 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Mavs, the Knicks will host the Indiana Pacers on Saturday evening at Madison Square Garden. 

As for the Mavs, they are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 28-23 record in 51 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 4-6 over their last ten games. 

Following New York, the Mavs will return to Texas to host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday afternoon.
