UPDATE: Jayson Tatum's Injury Status For Raptors-Celtics Game

Jayson Tatum is on the injury report for Friday's game.

UPDATE: Jayson Tatum has been ruled out. 

On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Toronto Raptors in Massachusetts. 

For the game, the Celtics could be without their best player, as Jayson Tatum is on the injury report.  

Via Jay King of The Athletic on Thursday: "Jayson Tatum said his sprained ankle is still a little swollen and he’ll be questionable for tomorrow’s game."

Tatum has played in 29 games so far this season and is averaging 27.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 47.0% from the field and 34.0% from the three-point range.  

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 24-6 record in their first 30 games. 

They are 9-1 over their last ten games and in the middle of a four-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Celtics defeated the Detroit Pistons by a score of 128-122 in overtime. 

In 43 minutes of playing time, Tatum had 31 points, seven rebounds, ten assists and five steals while shooting 11/31 from the field and 2/11 from the three-point range. 

Following the Raptors, the Celtics will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the San Antonio Spurs in Texas. 

As for the Raptors, they are 12-18 in their first 30 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently defeated Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards by a score of 132-102. 

Following the Celtics, the Raptors will visit the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
