Jayson Tatum's Current Injury Status For Hornets-Celtics Game

Jayson Tatum is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Charlotte Hornets in Massachusetts.

For the game, the Celtics could be without their best player, as All-Star forward Jayson Tatum is on the injury report.

Tatum has had a fantastic season with averages of 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while sooting 47.1% from the field and 37.6% from the three-point range in 74 games.

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference (and the best team in the NBA) with a 62-18 record in 80 games.

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Celtics lost to the New York Knicks by a score of 118-109.

Tatum had 18 points, four rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block while shooting 5/13 from the field and 1/7 from the three-point range.

Following Charlotte, the Celtics will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they host Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards in Boston.

As for the Hornets, they have had a tough season and are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 20-60 record in 80 games.

They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 115-114.

Following Boston, the Hornets will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers.
