Luka Doncic Made NBA History In Heat-Mavs Game

Luka Doncic made NBA history during Thursday's game.

On Thursday evening, the Dallas Mavericks faced off against the Miami Heat at home in Texas.

The game was close, but the Mavs won by a score of 114-108, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Five-time NBA All-Star Luka Doncic had an excellent night and put up 35 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and one steal while shooting 12/24 from the field and 7/13 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time. 

He also made NBA history.

Doncic is averaging 34.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.6% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range in 55 games.  

With the victory, the Mavs improved to 35-28 in 63 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. 

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and are 19-15 in the 34 games they have hosted in Dallas, Texas.  

Following the Heat, the Mavs will visit the Detroit Pistons on Saturday evening. 

As for the Heat, they dropped to 35-27 in 62 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are 18-14 in the 32 games they have played on the road away from Miami. 

Following the Mavs, the Heat will travel to Oklahoma City for a matchup with the Thunder on Friday evening.
