UPDATE: Joel Embiid's Current Injury Status For Rockets-76ers Game

On Monday afternoon, the Philadelphia 76ers will host the Houston Rockets in Pennsylvania.     

For the game, the 76ers could be without their best player, as 2023 MVP Joel Embiid is on the injury report.   

Embiid has missed each of the previous three games, so this would be his fourth straight out of the lineup (if he doesn't play).

Embiid has played in 27 games and is averaging 34.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest while shooting 53.5% from the field and 36.0% from the three-point range. 

The 76ers are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 24-13 record in their first 37 games. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are 14-6 in the 20 games they have hosted in Philadelphia. 

Most recently, the 76ers beat the Sacramento Kings by a score of 112-93 (at home). 

Following the Rockets, they will host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday evening. 

As for the Rockets, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 19-19 record in their first 38 games. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and are 4-13 in the 17 games they have played on the road away from Houston. 

Most recently, the Rockets lost to the Boston Celtics by a score of 145-113 (in Boston). 

Following the 76ers, they will visit the New York Knicks on Wednesday evening at Madison Square Garden.
