Joel Embiid's Injury Status For 76ers-Rockets Game

Joel Embiid is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will be in Texas to face off against the Houston Rockets.    

For the game, the 76ers will remain without their best player, as 2023 MVP Joel Embiid has been ruled out.   

Embiid has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of the lineup.

Embiid has played in 25 games so far this season and is averaging 35.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest while shooting 54.0% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range.  

The 76ers are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 21-9 record in their first 30 games.  

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the Orlando Magic by a score of 112-92.  

Tyrese Maxey led the team with 23 points and six rebounds.  

Following the Rockets, the 76ers will visit the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Saturday in Illinois. 

On the road, they are 9-5 in the 14 games they have played away from Philadelphia. 

As for the Rockets, they are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 15-14 record in their first 29 games. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

Following the 76ers, the Rockets will host Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons on Monday evening in Houston, Texas. 

At home, they are 12-4 in 16 games.
