Luka Doncic's Official Status For Mavs-Thunder Game

Luka Doncic has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

On Sunday afternoon, the Dallas Mavericks will be in Oklahoma City to face off against the Thunder.

For the game, the Mavs will be without their best player, as All-Star forward Luka Doncic has been ruled out.

Doncic missed the team's last game, so this will be his second straight out of the starting lineup.

Via Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints: "The young players will receive another opportunity on Sunday vs. the Thunder.

Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively II, Dante Exum, Daniel Gafford, Derrick Jones Jr., Maxi Kleber, and PJ Washington are all listed as out for the regular season finale."

Doncic has had another incredible season with averages of 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 48.7% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range in 70 games.

The Mavs are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 50-31 record in 81 games.

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Detroit Pistons by a score of 107-89 (at home).

After missing the NBA playoffs (and the play-in tournament in 2023), the Mavs are headed back to the postseason.

As for the Thunder, they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 56-25 record in 81 games.

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a four-game winning streak.

Most recently, the Thunder lost to the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 125-107.
