On Wednesday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Massachusetts to face off against Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

For the game, they will be without 2022 6th Man of The Year Tyler Herro, who remains ruled out due to a hand injury.

Recently, head coach Erik Spoelstra met with the media and revealed that Herro remains out indefinitely.

Reporter: "Based on the timetable we were given for Tyler when he first broke his hand, is there a chance of him playing in this series against the Celtics?"

Spoelstra: "There's no way I could even answer that right now. The good thing about a hand is you're able to do other things with that, but he can't shoot. He can't dribble that kind of stuff, so I don't have an update. He won't be playing Wednesday."

Herro got injured during the first game of the NBA Playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Heat later announced that he would be out for at least six weeks following surgery.

Via The Heat on April 21: "INJURY UPDATE: Tyler Herro underwent successful open reduction and internal fixation surgery of the third and fourth metacarpal of his right hand.

He is expected to miss a minimum of 6 weeks."

It's been less than four weeks since the announcement, so if the Heat are able to beat the Celtics and advance to the NBA Finals, then there appears to be a possibility the former Kentucky star could return.

Herro finished the regular season with averages of 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest.
