Alperen Sengun's Viral Post On X After Pelicans-Rockets Game

Alperen Sengun made a post to X after the Houston Rockets defeated the New Orleans Pelicans.

On Friday evening, the Houston Rockets hosted the New Orleans Pelicans in Texas. 

The Rockets won by a score of 104-101 to improve to 5-3 in their first eight games, and they are in the middle of a five-game winning streak.   

Alperen Sengun had 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block while shooting 11/15 from the field in 34 minutes of playing time.  

In addition to Sengun's stellar night, Fred VanVleet had 20 points and eight assists, while Jalen Green had 25 points. 

After the game, Sengun made a post to X (with a photo), and there were over 6,000 likes in less than four hours.

Sengun captioned his post: "Halloween is over but the monster is still here 🎃💀😤"

Sengun has played in eight games this season and is averaging 19.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 61.7% from the field.

The Rockets are coming off a season where they were the 14th seed in the Western Conference, but they made significant additions to the roster over the offseason and will have a legitimate chance to make the NBA playoffs this year.

Sengun was the 16th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and last year; he averaged 14.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range in 75 games. 

The Rockets will play their next game on Sunday evening when they host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in Texas.
