Kevin Love is a five-time NBA All-Star and is in his 15th season in the NBA.

Therefore, many teams that are contending for a title would love to add a player like Love, who has also been to the NBA Finals four times and won the 2016 NBA Championship.

On Saturday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he will now be a free agent after getting a contract buyout from the Cleveland Cavaliers

Via Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources: Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers have completed a contract buyout. The Miami Heat are a frontrunner to sign Love, but he plans to talk to the Philadelphia 76ers before making a decision."

The Heat would be an excellent fit because they have been to the Eastern Conference Finals in two out of the last three seasons and need shooting (and size).

They currently rank 28th in the NBA for three-point shooting (33.4%), and Love could help solve that.

Right now, Love is averaging 8.5 points. 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 rebounds per contest (while shooting 35.4% from the three-point range).

However, he shot 39.2% from the three-point range during the 2021-22 season and has shot over 37% in seven different seasons.

As for the 76ers, they would be intriguing because he could spend time on the floor next to superstar center Joel Embiid.

James Harden, Embiid and Love would provide exceptional spacing.

Love will go down as one of the best players to ever play for the Cavs, and he had been in his ninth season with the franchise.
