BREAKING: Anthony Edwards' Status In Kings-Timberwolves Game

Anthony Edwards left Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are playing the Sacramento Kings at the Target Center.   

All-Star guard Anthony Edwards had been listed as questionable on the injury report but was upgraded to available right before tip-off.  

However, the Timberwolves have now announced that the former UGA star will be out for the remainder of the game due to personal reasons.   

Edwards finished his night with 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and one block while shooting 2/11 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 21 minutes of playing time.  

Via Timberwolves PR: "Anthony Edwards (Personal Reasons) is OUT for the remainder of tonight's game."

Edwards is in the middle of a fantastic season with averages of 26.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 38.1% from the three-point range in 56 games. 

The Timberwolves are also the best team in the Western Conference, with a 42-17 record in 59 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and have gone 8-2 over their last ten games. 

Following the Kings, the Timberwolves will remain at home to host Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. 

As for the Kings, they are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 33-25 record in 58 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 4-6 over their last ten games. 

Following the Timberwolves, the Kings will host the Chicago Bulls on Monday.
