BREAKING: Dallas Mavericks Reportedly Sign Recent Lakers Player

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Dallas Mavericks will sign Alex Fudge.

UPDATE: The Dallas Mavericks have officially signed Alex Fudge.

Rookie Alex Fudge has played in four games for the Los Angeles Lakers this season and averaged 1.0 points per contest.

The former Florida Gator was waived in January, so he has been a free agent, and on Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Fudge will sign a two-way deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent F Alex Fudge has agreed on a two-way deal with the Dallas Mavericks, Shayaun Saee of @OneLegacySports tells ESPN. Fudge — who had been on a two-way with Lakers — has been playing for G League South Bay."

Fudge has spent a lot of time in the G League and is averaging 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 20.0% from the three-point range in 18 regular season games (off the bench).

He also appeared in six G League Showcase Cup games (three starts) and averaged 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 48.8% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

As for the Mavs, they are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-27 record in 61 games.

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games but are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Mavs lost to the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 120-116 (at home).

Following the 76ers, they will host Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday evening in Dallas, Texas.
