BREAKING: James Harden Made NBA History In Warriors-Clippers Game

James Harden made NBA history during Thursday's game.

On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers are hosting the Golden State Warriors in California.   

During the game, James Harden made exciting NBA history by becoming the 24th player to score 25,000 career points. 

The next player for Harden to pass on the scoring list will be Hall of Famer Jerry West (25,192). 

Via ESPN's Malika Andrews: "With 23 points and counting tonight, James Harden is now the 24th player in NBA History with 25,000 career points."

Harden entered the evening with averages of 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range in 18 games. 

The 2018 MVP is in his first season with the Clippers and is one of the greatest scorers of all time. 

Over 15 seasons, Harden has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and Oklahoma City Thunder (in addition to Los Angeles). 

His career averages are 24.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 36.3% from the three-point range in 1,018 regular season games. 

He has also appeared in 160 playoff games and made the 2012 NBA Finals as a member of the Thunder. 

As for the Clippers, they got off to a slow start to the season but are in the middle of a five-game winning streak. 

They are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 13-10 record in 23 games. 

Following the Warriors, the Clippers will host the New York Knicks on Saturday.
