On Tuesday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Utah Jazz in Louisiana.

Before the game (on Monday), ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Pelicans will sign Malcolm Hill to a ten-day contract.

Via Wojnarowski: "The New Orleans Pelicans are signing G League forward Malcolm Hill on a 10 day contract, sources tell ESPN. Hill has averaged 25.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in his past 10 games for the Pels’ affiliate in Birmingham."

Hill has spent part of two seasons in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls.

He most recently played in five games with the Bulls during the 2022-23 season.

His career averages are 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 46.4% from the field and 35.9% from the three-point range in 24 regular season games.

As for the Pelicans, they are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 25-18 record in their first 43 games.

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Phoenix Suns (at home) by a score of 123-109.

Zion Williamson led the team with 24 points, three rebounds, one assist and one block while shooting 11/17 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range in 33 minutes of playing time.

The Pelicans have an extremely talented roster led by Williamson, Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum.

They made the NBA playoffs in 2022, but are coming off a season where they lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the play-in tournament.
