On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies in California for Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

Despite Ja Morant's 45 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists, the Lakers won by a score of 111-101 to take a 2-1 lead in the series with Game 4 on Monday night back in Los Angeles.

Eight-time All-Star Anthony Davis had a stellar performance and led the way with 31 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks in 39 minutes of playing time.

Veteran point guard Dennis Schroder came off the bench and put up seven points, one rebound, three assists and two steals in 24 minutes.

Following the game, he sent out a tweet that had over 15,000 likes in less than 12 hours.

Schroder tweeted: "Let‘s go! 💯🔥#LakersWin"

Schroder signed with the Lakers over the offseason and is in his second tenure with the organization (he was their starting point guard in 2021).

During the regular season, the 29-year-old averaged 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest.

He also scored 21 points in their play-in-tournament victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Lakers won the NBA Championship in 2020 but are coming off a season where they went 33-49 and missed the postseason.

That said, they have one of the most talented rosters in the league and will have a chance to make a deep run.

The winner of the series will advance to the second round and face off with either the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings.
