BREAKING: NBA Champion Jeremy Lin Signs With New Team

Former New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin has signed with the New Taipei Kings.

Jeremy Lin was once among the most notable players in the NBA when he went on an epic run with the New York Knicks during the 2011-12 season.

While he never made an All-Star Game, Lin was a solid point guard who played in the league for nine seasons.

The 35-year-old most recently played in the NBA when he was a member of the Toronto Raptors (who won the 2019 NBA Championship).

Lin has spent the last few seasons playing overseas, and on Thursday, he announced that he would be signing with the New Taipei Kings (h/t Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype).

Via Lin: "To Kaohsiung and the Steelers, thank you for giving me some of my best times and memories as a basketball player. I will forever cherish the short, but amazing, time we had together. I hope that through last season, Ive impacted you all as you have impacted me. There will forever be love for the Steelers in my heart.

After many months of thinking and praying about the upcoming season, Ive decided to play for the New Taipei Kings. This is a dream come true, a dream @Joelinsta and I have dreamt about our whole lives. To be able to share the court together as teammates.

Thank you to the Kings organization for this opportunity and for believing in me Thank you to all my fans and I cant wait to see you all for the season opener. Thank you Jesus for year 14 #allforHim"

In addition to the Raptors and Knicks, Lin has also played for the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets.

His career averages are 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 480 regular season games (he has also appeared in 25 NBA playoff games).
