LeBron James' Viral Post On X About Ja Morant Before Grizzlies-Pelicans Game
On Tuesday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies will face off against the New Orleans Pelicans in Louisiana.
For the game, the Grizzlies will have their best player, Ja Morant, back in action after missing 25 games due to a suspension.
Before the game, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James sent out a post on X that had over 49,000 likes and 3.1 million impressions in less than four hours.
James wrote: "1️⃣2️⃣ welcome back!! Go be GREAT again!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾"
Morant is coming off another sensational season with averages of 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field and 30.7% from the three-point range in 61 games.
The Grizzlies were the second seed in the Western Conference with a 51-31 record and made the NBA playoffs for the third straight season.
However, they lost to James and the Lakers in the first round (in six games).
Morant will be a significant boost to the Grizzlies because they are currently the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 6-19 record in their first 25 games.
They are 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game losing streak.
Most recently, the Grizzlies lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 116-97.
Following the Pelicans, they will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers in Tennessee.
As for the Pelicans, they are 16-11 in their first 27 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
