Los Angeles Lakers Star Shows Up To Arena Five Hours Before Game 6

LeBron James got to the arena five hours before the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies for Game 6.

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Memphis Grizzlies for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series.

If they are able to come away with the victory, they will advance to the second round of the playoffs.

That said, a loss would force a Game 7 back in Memphis on Sunday.

Therefore, the Lakers will want to wrap things up on their home floor on Friday.

In Game 5, four-time NBA Champion LeBron James shot just 5/17 from the field and 1/9 from the three-point range (the Lakers lost 116-99).

Before Game 6, he got to the arena five hours early to warm up.

Via the NBA: "LeBron arrives 5 hours before tip to get early court work in!

Game 6: 10:30pm/et on ESPN"

Despite his poor shooting, James had had a good series with averages of 22.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.6 blocks per contest.

At 38 years old, he is still among the ten best players in the NBA and made his 19th All-Star Game this year.

He is in his 20th season in the league (his fifth playing for the Lakers) and led the franchise to the NBA Championship in 2020.

That said, they are coming off a year where they went just 33-49 and missed the postseason.

If the Lakers are able to beat the Grizzlies in Game 6, they will face off against either the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings (the Warriors currently lead the series 3-2).
