On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 108-103.

Jamal Murray was sensational, putting up 37 points, ten rebounds, five assists and four steals in 43 minutes of playing time.

He had 23 points in the fourth quarter, and the Nuggets won the final period 32-24.

After losing Game 1 (also in Denver), the Lakers find themselves in an 0-2 hole in the series going back to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4.

They have yet to lose on their home floor in the 2023 NBA Playoffs (7-0).

Following Thursday's loss, Hall of Famer (and Lakers legend) Magic Johnson sent out several tweets with his reaction.

Johnson's first tweet: "What a spectacular performance by Denver’s Jamal Murray. He scored 23 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter and led his Nuggets to a 108-103 victory over the Lakers."

Johnson's second tweet: "After leading for three quarters, the Lakers lost the game in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter by taking bad shots and shooting poorly from the three point line. The missed shots from outside opened the door for Jamal Murray to take over the game."

Johnson's third tweet: "I’ve never seen LeBron James miss a wide open dunk and multiple wide open layups in a Playoff game. Anthony Davis was not much better and shot poorly the whole night. Both struggled from the field."

Johnson frequently tweets his opinions on the Lakers after games.

He spent his entire career with the franchise and led them to five NBA Championships.

Game 3 of the series will be on Saturday night, and the Lakers will need a victory to avoid falling into an 0-3 hole.
