NBA Champion Rips Golden State Warriors After Pelicans Game

On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors hosted the New Orleans Pelicans at the Chase Center.    

The Pelicans had control for the entire night and won the game by a score of 141-105.

An outstanding eight players on the team scored in double-digits and Jonas Valanciunas led the way with 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.  

Following the game, NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins sent out a post on X. 

Via Perkins: "The Warriors are cooked and I’m done with the conversations on how can the Warriors save their season! THEY CAN’T and time to break the band up. Don’t mind me and Carry the hell on…"

With the loss, the Warriors fell to 17-20 in their first 37 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and have lost their last two games by a combined 51 points. 

The Warriors have won four NBA Championships since the 2015 season, and are coming off a year where they lost in the second round of the playoffs. 

Steph Curry will turn 36 later this season, but he is still among the ten best players in the league and is averaging 26.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest while shooting 44.7% from the field and 39.8% from the three-point range in 35 games. 

That said, the rest of the roster has been unable to step up in a significant way. 

Following the Pelicans, the Warriors will face off against the Chicago Bulls on Friday evening at the United Center.
