Nikola Jokic Made NBA History In Kings-Nuggets Game

Nikola Jokic moved up on the NBA's all-time assists list.

UPDATE: Nikola Jokic finished with 11 assists and also moved ahead of Randy Smith (4,487) for 91st on the all-time assists list.

On Wednesday evening, the Denver Nuggets are hosting the Sacramento Kings in Colorado.

Nikola Jokic had a productive first half, putting up ten points, eight rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal.

Jokic also made NBA history by moving ahead of Brevin Knight (4,481) for 92nd on the all-time assists list.

Following Knight, the next player for him to pass will be Randy Smith (4,487).

Jokic has established himself as arguably the best passer in the NBA and came into the evening with averages of 26.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 58.3% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range.

He is only 29 years old, so the future Hall of Famer should be able to end his career very high on the all-time assists list.

The Nuggets entered the matchup as the third seed in the Western Conference with a 39-19 record in 58 games.

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are 6-4 over their last ten games.

Most recently, the Nuggets beat the Golden State Warriors by a score of 119-103.

Jokic was incredible, and put up 32 points, 16 rebounds, 16 assists, four steals and one block while shooting 13/24 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.

Following the Kings, the Nuggets will host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on Thursday evening.

At home, they are 22-5 in the 27 games they have played in Colorado.
