Steve Kerr's Honest Quote About Jordan Poole Before Warriors-Wizards Game

Steve Kerr spoke about Jordan Poole before Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Washington Wizards by a score of 123-112.

This was their second time facing off against Jordan Poole, who was traded over the offseason (after spending his first four seasons with Golden State and helping them win the 2022 NBA Championship).

Before the game, head coach Steve Kerr was asked about Poole and gave an honest answer (the full clip can be watched via the Warriors on NBCS).

Kerr: "He's one of the main reasons we won the championship that year, so we have great respect for Jordan and what he accomplished for us. I pull for him because he's a great young guy. I really want him to reach his potential and get to a place where he's really playing at a high-level again. As I said, we saw it, so we know he's capable of it."

Poole finished his night with 12 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals while shooting 5/17 from the field and 2/8 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.

He is averaging 16.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 39.7% from the field and 30.7% from the three-point range in 56 games.

The former Michigan star was the 28th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and is 24 years old.

The Wizards have had a rough season and dropped to 9-49 in 58 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference.
