What F1 Fans Should Expect From The Red Bull RB19 Car Reveal For 2023 Season

A breakdown of the near future for the Austrian F1 team ahead of their 2023 car reveal.

The Red Bull F1 team is set to reveal the RB19 tomorrow (February 3) at 2pm GMT. Here's what we know so far.

How Will The RB19 Be Revealed?

The team will be revealing the RB19 at an event in New York, which will be streamed for free via Red Bull TV and their app. It is also rumoured to reveal their technical partner for 2026, which is thought to be Ford. The Austrian team are the second of the year to unveil their livery ahead of the 2023 season.

Red Bull posted to their website:

"The countdown is on with our official timekeeping Partner TAG Heuer, and there are just 21 days to go until we launch our 2023 season. The 3rd February is set to be our biggest launch yet, in the city that never sleeps, New York.

"Not only is this going to be the first Formula One season launch to take place in the US, we’re also planning to make it the greatest in F1 history.

"We’d love to tell you more, but why spoil the surprise?"

It is expected that team principal Christian Horner and drivers' Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will feature at the event.

Red Bull took sportswear manufacturer Puma and software company Citrix off of their sponsorship list, ahead of the 2023 season.

What Have We Heard So Far About The RB19?

The team teased a big change in livery for the RB19 to social media, posting that it was a "blank canvas". Other than that, the team have kept extremely quiet about the upcoming car.

Fans have been calling for the team to change the livery from their usual. The Red Bull's rarely change too much year on year and the F1 world are ready for the team to mix things up.

What To Expect From Red Bull In 2023

The team showed incredibly strong performance in the 2022 season taking the constructors' championship title at the Austin Grand Prix and Max Verstappen winning the drivers' championship the week prior at the Japanese Grand Prix.

2022 was the first year since the hybrid era that Mercedes have not won the title and it was also the first time since 2013 that Red Bull have taken the title.

The team will be looking to come back to defend both titles in 2023. The added difficulty for the Austrian team is the cost cap penalty. It was revealed during 2022 that Red Bull had exceeded the cost cap budget in 2021 and so were handed a $7 million fine and a 10% reduction in wind tunnel time for 2023.

Team principal, Christian Horner has spoken about the true impact of the reduction in wind tunnel time explaining that the team are having to be much more efficient to deal with it.

On top of this, Mercedes, who had a difficult 2022, are confident the developments they made towards the end of last season will put them in a much better position than last year. Red Bull advisor, Helmut Marko, has already branded Mercedes as their biggest threat in the upcoming season, rather than Ferrari.
