Deja Vu, Tonozzi Takes Futurity Champion and Reserve Champion

GUTHRIE, Okla. - The Barrel Futurities of America 2023 World Show wrapped up Nov. 18 at the Lazy E Arena.
There were 383 total four-year-old horses that ran down the alley gunning for first with the $70,000 added to the futurity.
After two go-rounds on Wednesday where Craig Brooks kicked things off, Friday the top fifty were taken back to the short go on Saturday.
After a record breaking season in the WPRA Brittany Tonozzi topped the leaderboard at the BFA, making a repeat of the 2023 Pink Buckle futurity.
Tonozzi won BFA Futurity Champion on Tres Chasin Babe PZ sired by Tres Sies, out of one of her great mares Babe on The Chase with 30.267 seconds.
Coming in close behind with 30.437 seconds was once again Tonozzi on her filly ChitiChiti BangBang, sired by Tres Sies out of one of her talented mares, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
Tonozzi won BFA Futurity Champion and Reserve Champion and earning $64,621 in just the short-go.
In a few short weeks Tonozzi heads to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Madi Roelofsen is a writer for Sports Illustrated's feature, Rodeo Daily. Madi not only writes about the western lifestyle and rodeo world but lives it daily. She attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and competed in the barrel racing as part of their rodeo team.
