Sunday afternoon's college basketball game between the USC Trojans and Long Beach State was far from the biggest event on the sports calendar. However, it was a monumental moment for Bronny James. The 19-year-old freshman made his college debut five months after suffering a cardiac arrest in practice.
In a shocking upset, USC lost 84-79 to Long Beach State in overtime at home. What was not shocking was that Bronny came off the bench as a reserve player and looked good in his limited time on the court. The freshman tallied four points and one sensational chase-down block in his NCAA debut.
Despite a busy schedule of his own, LeBron James, showed up to cheer on his son. Bronny paid tribute to his father by wearing a pair of his signature Nike sneakers. Below is everything athletes and fans must know about Bronny's kicks.
Nike LeBron NXXT GEN
In his college debut, Bronny wore the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen. The grey and cardinal colorway is a player-exclusive model that was only made for the Trojans basketball team. The silver lining is online shoppers can choose between several colorways of the model at a discount online.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen launched at a retail price of $170. However, Nike has slashed prices on nine different colorways. Athletes and fans can shop the entire Nike LeBron NXXT Gen collection and buy a Bronny James jersey online before the holidays arrive.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen was released as the counterpart to James' 20th signature sneaker. The Nike LeBron 21 has since been released, but has not stopped the James family from hooping in last year's model. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your sneaker news.
