Jon Jones: ‘Francis Ngannou and I Would Be Really Massive’

Yes, that was the UFC heavyweight champion giving an interview during the PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions pay-per-view.
Jon Jones joined the broadcast booth after the Yoel Romero-Thiago Santos, and he answered an array of questions–including whether he will fight PFL star Francis Ngannou.
“I feel like there’s a lot of fights the world wants right now,” said Jones. “There’s the Tom Aspinall fight that’s really massive. Francis Ngannou and I would be really massive. And Stipe [Miocic], to the hardcore fans, is still a respectable opponent.
“I don’t know how the cards are going to fall. My prediction is that I will beat Stipe Miocic. My prediction is I will beat Tom Aspinall and Francis Ngannou. The way that it unfolds is really not my business. My job is to do what I’ve always done, since day one.”
Jon Jones was asked if he’d ever fight Francis Ngannou.

Jones was also asked about Ngannou’s upcoming boxing bout against Anthony Joshua. Choosing his words carefully, Jones said he was rooting for Ngannou, but he believes the more experienced Joshua will win the fight.
