Charlotte Flair Believes She's a Top Champion, Teases 'Bigger Picture' for Tag Team

Charlotte Flair is a combined 14-time world champion in WWE, but she hasn't held a singles title in years. In a recent interview, Flair shared her opinion on the matter.

Earlier in her career, Flair was almost always in the world title picture, either as the champion or the challenger. She hasn't won a singles championship since late 2022, and she has been teaming up with Alexa Bliss for over a year. Flair has also been targeting singles gold recently, but she has failed to add to her collection of titles.

Flair discussed her current run in a new interview and shared her belief that she should be a top champion in WWE.

Charlotte Flair thinks she should be a main attraction

Speaking with Dave LaGreca on Busted Open, Flair was asked about her recent run, and she agreed that she should be a top champion in WWE. She stated that she thinks she's as big as any star and she'll continue to work toward her goal of becoming a world champion again.

“Do I agree that I should be a main attraction? Yes," Flair said. "Do I think that I should be looked at and marketed like that champion that you’re thinking? Yes. But I think being in this tag [team], whether it’s slow or not for some of my fans, I think there is a bigger picture and that I’m going to keep working towards, keep fighting for that I see. You’re going to get that, like, ‘That’s the champion we know.’"

Flair also agreed when LaGreca noted that fans want to see her win the gold more than ever now. She highlighted how showcasing her comedic side with Bliss and working with other characters has turned her into an underdog by showing her vulnerability. She also said that her current run has helped her become a more interesting character.

During the interview, Flair also expressed that she thinks the past year has been "the best year of my career, and I've never been more versatile." Flair expressed her confidence that if she could have this much success in one year, fans can only imagine what she can do in the next five years.

For now, Flair continues to show different sides of her character, and her pairing with Bliss recently involved the addition of Tatum Paxley. The WWE Universe will have to wait and see how long it takes Flair to win another world title and where her journey will take her.
