Greenwich and Staples face off for the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference championship on Thanksgiving Day

For a lot of states throughout the East Coast, Thanksgiving Day is usually reserved for morning or evening practices in preparation for upcoming playoff games.ย 

In Connecticut, it's gameday for a lot of high school football teams all across the Constitution State. Almost 40 games are lined up for Thanksgiving and one of the best rivalries in the state will be on full display.ย 

The 18th edition of the Turkey Bowl will feature the Greenwich Cardinals (9-0) and Staples Wreckers (8-1) face off in a battle for the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) championship.ย
